Ikan bilis Egg Sambal (Sweet )

Once i decided to make egg sambal  ( egg version) and browsed through a number of recipes online. As we know, every recipe differs from one another simple because our tastes are different. So I decided to invent my own recipe, and guess what? IT came out perfectly well! My colleagues loved the taste. My husband was complimenting so much for my egg sambal and he wiped out all the food which i packed for him for his lunch at work. So this is my own self invented egg sambal recipe.

Ingredients

Grinding
1) 1/2 onion chopped
2) Small piece of ginger
3) 2 - 3 garlic teeth
4) Dry red chilli
5) 1 -2 pieces of green chilli chopped
6) Some salt
7) Some water

Sauting
1) 1 cup tarmarind water
2) 3 - 4 tb sugar (as per yr taste)
3) 1/ 2 onion chopped
4) Fried ikan bilis
5) Little salt
6) Full boiled eggs

Method:

1) Boil the eggs completely and deshell them. Keep them aside.
2) In a blender, all all the ingredients required for grinding. Grind the well.
3) In a pan, add adequate amount of oil and cook the grinded chilli paste for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile fry ikan bili.
4) Once the chilli paste has been cooked, add onion and saute them well.
5) Add ikan bilis.
6) Add the full boiled eggs and tarmarind juice
7) About 3 minutes later, add a pinch of salt and 3 - 4 tb of sugar.
8) Let the entire mixture cook for about 10 minutes at low flame. Turn off the flame once the mixture starts to boil.

Note: If you find the mixture getting thicker, u can add more water.
