Methu Vadai

Ingredients

1) Urad dhal
2) 1 tsp ginger garlic
3) Salt
4) Coriander leaves chopped
5) Curry leaves chopped
6) Onions finely chopped (about 2 as per to your taste)
7) 2 green chilli finely chopped

Method:

1) Soak urad dhal about 5 hours. Take the dhal removing as much water as possible from the water - dhal mixture. Grind the urad dhal adding little water. The paste should be a smooth paste and should float on water.
2) Add the ginger garlic paste to the urd dhal batter. Mix well
3) Add coriader leaves, curry leaves, onions and green chilli and mix well.
4) Deep fry them.

Note: The above is courtesy of my mom's recipe. I use ginger paste only excluding garlic. With garlic, the vadai acquires extra flavour.
