Cumin (Jeera) Rice

Ingredients:

1) Ghee or olive butter
2) 1 tsp Cumin seeds
3) Cashew nuts
4) 1 cardamon
5) 5 cloves
6) 1 cinnamon stick
6) mixed vege (corn, green peas) -- if you wish to add
7) 1 cup basmati rice
8) Salt


Method:

1) Add ghee or butter in a pan and let it melt.
2) Once melted, roast the cashew nuts and removed it from the pan.
3) Using the same melted butter or ghee, add cumin seeds and saute for a min
4) Break the cinnamon stick into 2 pieces and add the cinamon stick and cloves and saute them together for a min or two.
5) Add mix vegetables
6) Add washed rice and salt and mix them together for about 2 minutes.
7) Add 1.5 cup of water and let the mixture boil
8) Once the mixture boils, transfer the mixture to a rice cooker and let it be cooked.
