Ingredients
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp asafoetida
4 dry chillis
Curry leaves - 2 sets
6 - 7 garlic teeth
Home made Rasam podi - Grinded 1.5 tsp cumin seeds and 1 tsp black pepper corns ( if u want rasam to be more spicy, then add more black peppercorns
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tomato
Tarmarind juice
Salt
Method:
1) In a pan of oil, add dry red chilli, curry leaves and close the lid
2) Add grinded cumin seeds, black pepper corns, mustard seeds, and asafoetida and mix well.
3) Add the pounded mixture - ginger , garlic, tomato, turmeric powder and curry leaves and mix well.
4) Add tarmarind juice and salt and let it cook at medium flame until it boils.
